Master Luo Jiaxuan's Artworks

Luo Jiaxuan is a distinguished contemporary Chinese painter and calligrapher, born in the 1970s in Hezhou, Guangxi, and now residing in Beijing. He comes from a scholarly family and has loved painting and calligraphy since childhood.

He began copying ancient calligraphy masterpieces at the age of seven, studying the styles of successive dynasties and learning directly from contemporary masters including Qi Gong, Liu Bingsen, Yang Zaichun and Zhao Yuting. With decades of dedicated practice, he has achieved high proficiency in regular, clerical, running, cursive and seal scripts, especially in large-character banner calligraphy and tiny regular script.

His titles include Member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Member of the Guangxi Artists Association, First-Class Calligraphy Master of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy, Cultural Ambassador of the Chinese National Academy of Painting, Academician of the International Xizhi Painting and Calligraphy Academy, Director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. He has been honored as Pioneer Figure in Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Top Ten Calligraphers with the Greatest Market Appreciation Potential, Most Influential International Master of Painting and Calligraphy.

Luo’s painting style is fresh, vibrant, powerful and unadorned, with perfect integration of form and spirit. He is especially renowned for freehand flower-and-bird painting, with peacock, peony and lotus being his most celebrated subjects. His brushwork is concise yet expressive, colors elegant and auspicious, blending traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern taste—highly valuable for collection and decoration. His works have won numerous national and provincial awards and are widely collected by institutions and private collectors worldwide.
