Yunfei is a renowned contemporary Chinese painter specializing in meticulous heavy-color flower-and-bird painting. He is a National First-Class Artist, currently based in Beijing. Graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, he excels in both painting and calligraphy with solid professional training.

He studied under celebrated artists such as Cao Ruihua and Yu Changyu, and draws inspiration from ancient masters including Xu Wei, Bada Shanren, Qi Baishi and Wang Xuetao, forming his own distinctive style.

His focus is on meticulous heavy-color flower-and-bird themes, especially lotus, peony and peacock—traditional symbols of auspiciousness and prosperity. His works feature exquisite linework, elegant and luxurious coloring, often combining traditional mineral pigments with pure gold powder for layered rendering, achieving a rich yet refined aesthetic.
